If you want to let visitors like or comment on your project or page on Facebook click + (W) in the widget bar and select Facebook. You can also use this widget to embed an existing Facebook page.
On Facebook, any Like button or Comments box exists only for a particular URL, not a website or page in general. Please make sure you specify a correct link for all Facebook widgets otherwise the button will appear functional but won’t trigger any Facebook social actions.
Three types of Facebook widget are available: Like Button, Page, and Comments.
Specify a link that visitors will like when they click the button. Click the Сross icon in the URL field to switch between the two modes. Using the project URL means that the Like Button will create a Facebook like for the entire project. Using the page URL will create a Facebook like for a specific page where you placed the Button. Alternatively, you can paste or type in any direct URL in this field, and click the ‘Arrow’ icon in the URL field to associate this link with your Like Button. You can switch between Standard Layout, Button Count, and Box Count layouts in Settings control.
If you change the project or page link your Like Button widget will be updated automatically both by Using the project URL and Using the page URL modes. Remember: if you specify an external URL in this widget any Facebook likes will be generated for the external link, not the page where you placed your Like Button.
Additional attributes include a Share Button and the option to show Facebook friends’ faces in the widget.
Type or paste a direct URL of the Facebook Page to embed in your widget, e.g. https://facebook.com/pagename. Personal accounts and Facebook groups are not supported.
A few additional settings are available for the Page widget:
- Show Stream to display timeline and events in your widget.
- Small Header to switch to the compact layout for your Page’s header.
- Show Faces to display the faces of those who liked this Facebook Page.
Add a Comments box that visitors can use to comment on your page under their Facebook accounts. Click the Cross icon in the URL field to switch between the two modes. Using the project URL means that a Facebook comment added through your widget will be associated with the entire project. Using the page URL will create a Facebook comment associated with a specific page.
You can also change the number of posts to display within a Comments widget.
