Stripe doesn't work in exported projects. If you plan to move the project to another hosting, use Ecwid as an e-commerce vendor.
Adding products
If you don’t have an existing Stripe account, register here. After that, add the E-commerce widget, and click ‘Connect to Stripe.’
By now, it’s not possible to add attributes to products. That’s why, if you plan to sell the same product but in different colors, you need to create a separate unit for each color. Click ‘Save product,’ and you’re all set.
If you want to sell subscriptions to physical or digital products, enable ‘Recurring’ under ‘Price information’ when you create a new product. Customers will be charged according to the billing period you set. However, please keep in mind that customers cannot currently manage their subscriptions. Only you as the store owner will be able to do that. That’s why it is highly important to provide your customers with accurate contact information, so they can cancel their subscription or update payment details.
Payment methods
You can accept payments from debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
To set up Apple Pay and Google Pay, open your Stripe account settings, go to ‘Payments’ → ‘Checkout settings’, and enable the corresponding options.
Shipping rates
Click 'Products’ in your Stripe dashboard, select ‘Shipping rates’, and click ‘New’. Enter the amount, description, and estimated delivery time. Your customers will be able to select their shipping rate during checkout.
Next, open your Readymag e-commerce project and go to Preview mode. Now open the Cart and click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner. Copy the ID of the shipping method you created in Stripe and paste it into the ‘Shipping ID’ field. Then click ‘Available countries’ and select where you want to ship by clicking the Plus icon next to each. This will allow customers to select the shipping rate and enter their address during checkout.
Coupons
Open your Stripe dashboard and click 'Products' → 'Coupons' → 'New' to create a coupon. Specify an amount or percentage discount for your customers.
Now open your Readymag e-commerce project and go to Preview mode. Next, open the Cart and click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner. Enable ‘Promo code’ under the Stripe section: this will add a new field to the checkout allowing users to redeem special offers from you.
Order confirmation emails
To enable order confirmation emails, please visit your Stripe settings and check the 'Email receipts' section. You can also refer to the official Stripe documentation for additional help on this matter.
