You can submit your design as a template to share it with others in the Readymag community. Whether you choose to share your template for free or sell it, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your reputation, connect with potential clients, and even earn commissions—all while contributing to the design community.
Once submitted, your template will go through a review process before being published as a copyable template.
Submission process
Before submitting your template, make sure it meets all community requirements and guidelines. Next, open your project settings panel, find the Export & Submit tab, and click Templates to open the submission form.
In the submission form, provide key details for how your template will appear and be categorized: its name, description, author info, and tags. Also, choose whether the template will be available for free or paid.
If you plan on selling your templates, in addition to filling out the form details, you’ll need to complete a few more steps prior to submitting it:
- Select the “Paid” option. Doing so will bring up two additional fields: one for setting up the template value and the other for the purchase link.
- Since Readymag doesn’t handle purchases directly, you’ll need to generate a purchase link from a third-party vendor. We currently support Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, and Shopify.
- Give your template a description and refund policy via the third-party vendor.
For additional details about selling your template, check the How to sell your template article.
Review process
Once you’ve finished the additional fields, you can move forward with the submission—just click Submit. The review process may take up to 21 days, and our team will keep you updated via email.
Once you submit your initial template, Readymag will store your name, portfolio link, and contact email for subsequent submissions or relevant inquiries connected to the distribution of your template. You can review this information in the Templates tab on your Settings page. Please note that after you submit your template, the information will be saved as is, and you’ll need to contact Readymag support to change it.
What happens after approval
Once approved, your template will be publicly available in the Templates public library, and other Readymag creators can use it as a starting point for their projects.
If you’ve set your template as paid, users will be able to preview it first. If they decide to purchase it, they’ll be directed to the external site you specified during the submission process to complete the purchase.
Withdrawing your template from the gallery
If you decide to unpublish your project as a template, you can withdraw your submission by clicking “Unsubmit from Templates” in the Export & Submit tab of your project’s settings panel.
If your template has already been featured on the Templates page, the unsubmit process will take additional time, as it’s handled manually by our team.
The unsubmission request will cancel the review process if the template is still being reviewed. If you also want to remove the template status from your project entirely, check the Managing your template section for details.
