You can sell your Readymag templates through your own channels or with the help of the Templates gallery—Readymag helps spotlight chosen templates, but doesn’t process purchases. Also, if someone copies your template, registers, and becomes a paying user, you’ll receive a reward credited to your Readymag account, just like in our Referral program.
Below is an overview of things to take care of before starting to sell your templates.
Convert your project to a template
To sell a template, you’ll first need to convert your project into a template. For step-by-step instructions on enabling template status for a project, see Convert project to template.
Set it up as a paid template
Once your project has been converted to a template, you can distribute it for free or sell it to your audience, either on your own or by showcasing it in our Templates library.
Sell it on your own
From the project’s main settings panel, click on “Convert to template” to access the template’s specific option panel. In this section, you’ll have the following options:
- Check the number of views your template has so far and the number of times it has been copied.
- Copy template link. This is a shareable link so others can preview your template before copying it or buying it.
- Copy access link. Anyone who interacts with this link will automatically receive a copy of the template within their Readymag account. For instance, if you’re selling your template via Gumroad, you should provide the Gumroad link so buyers get immediate access to your template after purchase.
- Set up a price in USD, EUR, or GBP.
After setting up a price, you’ll be prompted to include the purchase, which allows people to buy your template. Readymag doesn’t process these payments, so you’ll need a third-party service to handle purchases; we support Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, and Shopify purchase links. Check the How to set up a purchase link section for additional details.
If the price is set to zero, it’s considered a free template.
You must republish your project each time you change these settings so the updates take effect.
Showcase your template in our Templates library
If you’d like your template to appear in our Templates library, you’ll first need to submit it for review. For a detailed walkthrough of the submission process and what happens after, see How to submit your template to the Readymag gallery.
Once approved, your template—whether free or paid—will be showcased in our Templates public library, where other users can discover, preview, and, if the template is a paid one, follow the link to purchase it via the third-party service you specified.
How to set up a purchase link
While the process can vary based on the platform you choose to sell your template, the steps below describe the overall process:
- Register with your chosen payment platform and create a product page for your template.
- Add a description and refund policy.
- Set up the product so buyers receive the Readymag “copy access link” after purchase.
- Copy the checkout URL from the service.
- In your template’s settings in Readymag, paste this link into the purchase field. This will add a “Buy template” button to your template page.

Manage paid templates
To stop selling a template, unpublish it, or use the “Unsubmit from Templates” button in the Export & Submit tab if your template is already featured in our Templates public library. Be aware that it might take time for our team to review the unsubmission request, which could lead to additional delays.
To remove template status entirely, turn off “Convert to template” in settings and republish the project.
The purchase access link will stop working if the project is unpublished, deleted (moved to trash), or if the template status has been removed. Buyers who previously received the link will no longer be able to add the template to their account.
All purchase-related inquiries for your templates must be handled through your selected payment vendor. Please be aware that Readymag Support cannot intervene or resolve issues related to transactions for sold templates.
