If a visitor hovers over or clicks on the Hotspot widget, a pop-up will load. With this widget, you can create footnotes, burger menus, galleries, notifications, etc.
Icon and Pop-up settings
Each Hotspot widget consists of two elements: Icon and Popup. They can be moved independently and placed anywhere in your layout.
Click Icon Settings or Pop-up Settings in your widget control to change their attributes.
Icon
Icon indicates a ‘hotspot’ that visitors can interact with to see a pop-up Tip window. You can select any symbol for your Icon (similar to the Shape widget), change the color, add a Border, and switch between Show on Click or Hover.
Pop-up
You can change the color of the Pop-up, add a radius, and turn off the shadow for your pop-up window. You can also modify its position and define whether it should be placed above or beyond the tooltip.
Use Text, Image, or both in your Pop-up. Use + in your widgets control to create identical Hotspots without returning to the widget bar.
Hotspots in different layouts
You can customize the appearance of hotspots independently for desktop and mobile layouts.
How to use hotspots
In the following tutorials, you can get some ideas on how to use this widget. Please note: the tutorials show the old interface where some settings are called differently (Pin instead of Icon, Tip instead of Pop-up).
